One of the many things I enjoy about working at CODI is the involvement this company has in our community. A particularly impactful aspect of this is our relationship with Explorative Pathways for Innovative Careers (EPIC). EPIC, in their own words, "gives students the opportunity to earn content credit, industry certifications, concurrent enrollment, and work-based learning."
What does all this mean?
CODI Manufacturing hosted four high school interns from EPIC for roles in engineering, marketing and manufacturing. These interns received hands-on training and mentorship from leaders at CODI and were tasked with real projects. Nothing theoretical here, we build stuff. Interns contributed to quality processes on the production floor, edited marketing videos and worked in SolidWorks alongside our engineering team. The program lasted the entire semester and students received class credit for their involvement.
At the end of the semester each student received an evaluation, but one received even more: a job with CODI. Earlier this week CODI celebrated the offer letter to Graycen Han at the EPIC campus.

From Beth Best, the Industry Partnership Coordinator at EPIC: "Building a partnership with CODI Manufacturing this year was a game changer for our students. By welcoming four students onto their team, they provided real-world experience and professional mentorship. We're grateful for CODI's leap of faith in helping us develop the future talent pool."
CODI is a growing manufacturing business in Littleton, Colorado. If you are interested in working at a company where the employees and the work actually matter, I invite you to visit our career page and see if we are the right fit for you.
