Low-Voltage UL 67

PANELBOARDS

Distributes branch-circuit power throughout commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

CODI builds custom UL 67 listed panelboards for commercial, institutional, data center, and light industrial power distribution. Available in main lugs only or main circuit breaker configurations, each panelboard is built around your voltage, circuit count, enclosure rating, and preferred breaker manufacturer.

Manufactured in Littleton, Colorado, CODI panelboards give facility teams a configurable alternative to catalog-only equipment, with clean documentation, shorter lead times, and no proprietary breaker lock-in.

Power Controls Glossary

COMPLIANCE

  • UL 67: Panelboards

  • NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 408: Compliant for Panelboard construction and wire bending space

  • NEC 408.36: Overcurrent protection requirements for panelboards

  • NEC 230.70 / 230.91: Service equipment requirements when configured as service entrance

  • Service Entrance (SE): Suitable for use as service equipment when specified per NEC 230

RATINGS

  • Voltage: 120/208V, 277/480V, up to 600V; single-phase and three-phase configurations available

  • Ampacity: Main ratings from 100A to 1200A

  • Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR): Standard 65kAIC; higher ratings available with current-limiting fuses or high-SCCR breakers

  • Phases: 1-phase 2-wire; 1-phase 3-wire; 3-phase 3-wire; 3-phase 4-wire

  • Branch Circuits: Up to 42 circuits standard; higher counts available

CONSTRUCTION/BUILD

  • Enclosure Material: Heavy-gauge steel with powder-coat finish

  • Bus: Silver-plated copper main and distribution bus; fully-rated bus standard

  • Main Device: Main lugs only (MLO) or main circuit breaker (MCB) configurations available

  • Branch Spaces: Top-feed or bottom-feed provisions; surface or flush-mount options

  • Finish: Powder-coated standard; custom colors available

COMPONENTS

  • Main Protective Device: Molded-case circuit breaker or main lugs per specification

  • Branch Breakers: 1-pole, 2-pole, or 3-pole circuit breakers from major manufacturers (Siemens, Eaton, etc.)

  • Neutral Bar: Full-capacity silver-plated neutral bar with individual terminal lugs

  • Ground Bar: Isolated or bonded ground bar as required by application

  • Surge Protection: Type 1 or Type 2 SPD available for downstream electronics protection

SAFETY

  • Dead-Front Design: Interior dead-front panel prevents accidental contact with live bus and breakers during operation

  • Grounding: Dedicated ground bus bonded to enclosure per NEC requirements

  • Overcurrent Protection: Branch circuit breakers provide coordinated short-circuit and overload protection

  • Arc-Flash: Panelboard configuration and documentation support arc-flash analysis per NFPA 70E

  • Locking: Panelboard cover latch and optional padlockable trim for secured access

KEY FEATURES

Custom-Configured Not Catalog

Built to your exact circuit count, voltage, and enclosure rating rather than forcing a standard catalog size that leaves capacity unused or falls short.

Multi-Brand Breaker Flexibility

Accepts branch breakers from Siemens, Eaton, ABB, Schneider Electric, and LS Electric to match your facility standard or existing infrastructure.

UL 67 Listed

Factory-tested and UL 67 listed. Ships with a complete documentation package including wiring diagrams, BOM, and UL label.

Full NEMA Enclosure Range

Available in indoor, outdoor, washdown, and corrosive environment requirements (NEMA 1, 3R, 4, and 4X).

Colorado Built — Shorter Lead Times

Manufactured in Littleton, CO with 30+ years of fabrication experience. Custom configurations without the lead times of national OEMs.

No Proprietary Lock-In

You specify the breaker brand at the time of order. No forced substitutions and no downstream service dependency on a single manufacturer.

FAQ

What is the difference between a main lugs only (MLO) and main circuit breaker (MCB) panelboard?

An MLO panelboard has no main overcurrent device — the incoming conductors terminate directly on the main lugs, and overcurrent protection must be provided upstream. An MCB panelboard includes a main circuit breaker that serves as both the disconnect and the primary overcurrent protection for all branch circuits. CODI builds both configurations; the right choice depends on where overcurrent protection is located in your distribution system and whether the panelboard will serve as the service entrance.

What breaker brands does CODI support in its panelboards?

CODI panelboards accept branch circuit breakers from Eaton, Siemens, ABB, LS Electric, and Schneider Electric. You specify the breaker manufacturer at the time of order to match your facility standard or existing infrastructure. There is no proprietary breaker requirement and no downstream service dependency on a single manufacturer.

Can a CODI panelboard be configured for outdoor installation?

Yes. CODI panelboards are available in NEMA 1 (indoor), NEMA 3R (outdoor, rain and sleet rated), NEMA 4 (watertight), and NEMA 4X (corrosion-resistant) enclosure ratings. Outdoor and washdown applications are standard configurations, not special orders.
